The MUMASK would like to express its deep gratitude to the
SAAMB (Société d'Archéologie able to enrich our collection with a rare and emblematic piece: a complete costume of Okina Kariginu, a representation of a Shinto deity in Japanese Noh theatre.
Specially designed in Japan for our museum, this acquisition took place in two stages: the upper part of the costume joined our collections in 2024, followed by the lower part in 2025. This precious ensemble now complements an Okina mask that we already had in our collection, allowing us to display a complete outfit.
